On Thursday 26 September (7.45pm) our guest speaker will be England Cricket Performance Analyst Nathan Leamon.

Nathan was born and raised in Lancashire. After reading mathematics at Magdalen College, Cambridge, Nathan worked as a teacher and sports coach before being appointed as a performance analyst for the England Cricket Team in 2009.  As an international cricket analyst, Nathan conducts simulations to map out likely outcomes of games and has simulated matches with different sets of players and tactics to inform England’s strategy. He believes data can enhance human decision-making, not replace it.

Nathan’s debut novel – The Test – was published in 2018 and draws upon his experiences inside the England dressing room.
