On Monday 20 February (7.30pm) our guest speaker will be former England and Middlesex bowler Angus Fraser.
Angus played 46 Test matches for England between 1989 to 1998 taking 177 wickets at an average of 27.32.
His finest performance was in the 4th Test in Barbados during the 1993/94 tour of the West Indies when he took eight for 75 to help set up a famous victory, West Indies’ first defeat at Bridgetown for over half a century.
In 1997/98, Angus returned to the Caribbean and took 8 for 53 the West Indies first innings at Port of Spain, and 11 for 110 in the match including Brian Lara’s wicket in both innings. In total Fraser took Lara’s wicket seven times in the 14 Tests they played against each other.
Overall, Angus played 290 first class matches taking 886 wickets at an average of 27.40.
