Dean is the former Cricket Correspondent for the Daily Mirror (2006-2024). During that time he covered almost every match, both red and white ball, played by the England men’s team, several matches and tournaments played by the England women, and numerous county matches. This includes T20 World Cup wins in 2010 and 2022, Ashes success in Australia in 2010/11 and the World Cup in 2019.

Dean has worked across radio and TV as a broadcaster and producer, working on ‘You Guys are History’ – a documentary about England’s black cricketers, he has also been a ghost writer for Ian Botham and Ben Stokes.

Since leaving the Daily Mirror, Dean has remained in cricket, working as the West Indies team media manager on their 2024 Test tour to England and as a media consultant for the Professional Cricketer’s Association and ECB.
