On Thursday 26 September (7.30pm) our guest speaker will be former England, Middlesex and Surrey batter Mark Ramprakash.
Mark Ramprakash was arguably the greatest English batter of his generation, but he was also an enigma. He was among a select group of cricketers who have scored 100 first-class centuries, yet he never flourished as he should have done at Test level. To many people, Mark is equally well known for his moves on the dance floor having won Strictly Come Dancing in 2006.
Mark played 52 Tests and scored 2,350 runs with an average of 27.32. Overall, he played 461 first-class matches, scoring 35,659 runs with an average of 50.14 and a highest score of 301* against Northamptonshire in 2006.
He is currently the President and batting coach for Middlesex CCC. In addition since 2020, Mark has been the director of cricket for Harrow School.
